Editorial Policies

These principles govern editorial work on all TSI-SORG journals.

  • Editorial independence. Editors decide what is published, on the basis of scientific merit and relevance to the journal. The publisher does not interfere in editorial decisions.
  • Fairness. Manuscripts are assessed without regard to the authors' nationality, gender, institution or seniority.
  • Confidentiality. Submitted manuscripts and review reports are confidential.
  • Conflicts of interest. Editors do not handle manuscripts in which they have an interest. Manuscripts authored by editors are handled by another editor.
  • Publication ethics. Editors act on credible concerns about submitted or published work, following the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
  • Corrections and retractions. Errors in the published record are corrected openly, through a correction notice, expression of concern or retraction linked to the article.
  • Complaints. Complaints about the handling of a manuscript are looked into by someone not involved in the matter.
