Bio-QI invites qualified researchers to join its panel of reviewers.
Who can become a reviewer
- Researchers holding a doctoral degree, or an equivalent qualification, in a field the journal covers
- Those with a record of peer-reviewed publications in the area
- Those active in research or professional practice, or with relevant subject expertise
Early-career researchers are welcome to apply.
Reviewer responsibilities
- Give objective, timely and constructive assessments
- Evaluate originality, scientific rigour and relevance
- Keep submissions confidential
- Disclose conflicts of interest
- Follow the ethical standards set by COPE
Reviewers advise the editor; they do not make the final decision.
Peer review model
Review is double-blind: reviewers and authors are not told each other's identities.
Ethical standards
Reviewers are expected to follow the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers and to report suspected plagiarism or data manipulation to the editor in confidence.
