Copyright
Authors retain full copyright in their work. No transfer to the journal is required. Bio-QI receives only a non-exclusive licence to publish.
Licensing
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This allows anyone to:
- read, download and share the article freely;
- copy and distribute it;
- adapt and remix it for any purpose, including commercially;
- reuse figures and tables, with a citation.
In every case the authors and the original publication must be credited.
Author rights
- Authors may post their articles on personal websites, in institutional repositories and on preprint servers, with a link to the published version.
- Authors may enter into separate, non-exclusive arrangements for distributing the published article, provided its first publication in Bio-QI is acknowledged.
Third-party material
Authors must obtain permission to reuse material that is not their own and is not under a compatible open licence, and must attribute it.
No copyright transfer agreement
No formal copyright transfer agreement is required. By accepting publication, authors agree to their article being published under the CC BY 4.0 terms.
